Self-exclusion is the strongest guardrail on the platform and, in many cases, the only tool that meaningfully changes behaviour once softer measures — deposit caps, session timers, short breaks — have stopped working. It is deliberately hard to reverse. This page explains the two flavours of self-exclusion available at Lüks Casino, what happens to the account and the balance while it is in force, how to request one, and how the unlock path after a temporary exclusion is structured.

The 18+ rule underneath everything

Every safeguard below assumes a validated adult account. The 18+ minimum is enforced at registration and rechecked against a photo ID at first withdrawal. Nothing on this page overrides that requirement.

Two shapes: fixed-term and indefinite

A fixed-term self-exclusion is set for a specific stretch of six, nine or twelve months and cannot be shortened once running. Login is blocked, marketing emails and SMS stop, and any active bonuses are frozen. This is the right shape when the player wants a firm break but expects to reassess later on.

An indefinite self-exclusion has no scheduled end date. It does not auto-close after a year the way some sites work. Instead, it stays in place until the account holder actively goes through the reopening process described below. Almost every request from long-term problem players lands on this option, because it removes the "wait it out" temptation entirely.

Note that a shorter break of one to thirty days is a separate tool ("short break", not self-exclusion). It differs in two ways: the login lock lifts automatically at the end of the chosen period, and the tool is generally used for a stressful week or a bad session rather than a longer pattern.

What happens to the balance and pending items

The account itself is not deleted when self-exclusion begins. Any positive balance can be withdrawn to a verified payout method — either before submitting the exclusion request or, in most cases, at any point during it. Bets already open when the exclusion starts settle normally; nothing is voided. Loyalty points, VIP tier and history remain in the database and would still be there if you ever reopen. What stops is entirely on the input side: no new deposit, no new wager, no marketing contact, no bonus.

How to submit the request

A single message to support with the phrase "self-exclusion" — either "fixed-term, six months" (or nine or twelve) or "indefinite" — is all that is required. Support does not ask for a reason and will not attempt to talk the player out of it. Confirmation is issued within the same session. Whichever exclusion period is chosen begins immediately.

The unlock path after a fixed-term exclusion

When a six-, nine- or twelve-month exclusion reaches the end of its term, the login stays locked by default. A separate reopening request must be filed. The lock does not lift automatically because part of what makes the tool effective is precisely that the friction of coming back is greater than the friction of walking away. Once a request is filed, a mandatory review period runs for twenty-four hours before login is restored, so the decision is not made in the middle of a craving.

Unlocking an indefinite exclusion

Indefinite exclusions can be reversed only after the account holder has been excluded for at least six months and files a written unlock request. The review that follows checks whether the account carries any concerning pattern from before the exclusion; a second twenty-four-hour cooling window applies before login is restored. In practice, players who reopen an indefinite exclusion almost always pair the return with a strict deposit cap and a low stake ceiling for the first month back.

Independent help alongside the exclusion

A self-exclusion closes one door but does not address the underlying pattern. In Turkey, YEDAM (115) provides free confidential support; Gamblers Anonymous chapters meet in most major cities, in person and online. Records of every exclusion request and every unlock request are retained under the Privacy Policy. Overarching account-closure rules are on the Terms and Conditions page.
